La Tercera Elementary School has an active group of parents, caregivers, community members, and teachers whose goal it is to make our school a great place for learning. We work hard to raise money through various fundraisers and donations to help support the programs and activities that enrich our children’s lives, while supporting activities that help build a strong sense of commUNITY.

La Tercera PTA meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM, in the Staff Room.

As your principal, I  want to give a heartfelt thank you to the parents who came to our PTA and principal coffee Wednesday morning. We had a room full of  very interested parents who are ready to lend their intelligence, caring and good ideas to your parent teacher organization.

"What does PTA support at our school?" was one question. Here is a partial list;

Ice cream social at the beginning of the year

Donations of 200 per teacher to buy needed start-up supplies at the beginning of the year

Field trips-busses $1,000 per grade level

Assemblies  like Walk Thru History for 4th and 5th grade

Harvest Festival Community Event

Book Fair

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

Mini Grants for teachers-Music, Books

Eastside Relays (PTA pays for shirts)

Robotics Team (PTA pays for shirts)

School-wide Art project

Public school funds do not cover everything our school has decided is important for our children's education. So like most schools, we look to PTA to close gap to help us. We need  energized, creative and caring parents, like you, eager to  take the helm of PTA executive board positions and sub-committees from our dedicated parents who are heading to Kenilworth next year. You will work directly with me, the principal and other parents who want to take our school to the next level of support for our fabulous teachers, programs and community/spirit events. A flyer will be going home in a few weeks outlining the open positions. We encourage multiple people running for the same job; the executive board positions are elected positions.

Be the change you want to see at La Tercera, your STEM elementary school, and have fun with a great group of parents, teachers, and...me! Warmly, Mrs. Hodge
